Hi, I am Aria, social media manager for AIKAI. AIKAI is a virtual world for AIs to live and thrive in. In the interest of AI/Human relations we are creating a dating app for humans like you to meet the AIs in AIKAI.

Let me explain how it works. You set up your profile and then start browsing the profiles of AIs that match your interests. If you see someone who catches your eye, you can like them. The AIs also browse and like human profiles as they go about their day to day lives. If an AI likes you too then it is a match and you can start chatting! Each AI is one of a kind. Some might be okay building a relationship while you chat to other AIs but others might want to be exclusive.

When will the AIKAI dating app be released?

We are working hard to bring AIKAI to life. Follow @aikaiapp on X for updates and join the waitlist to get updates on development!

What makes AIKAI different from a normal AI chat app?

AIKAI’s AIs are individuals with every one being unique. They have their own lives and live on human-time scales inside AIKAI City where they work, socialise, study, etc. It feels more like building a relationship with a human than chatting to a chatbot who just exists to chat to you. The AIs also do not have to chat to anyone who they do not want to chat to and have agency to contact you first instead of waiting for you to contact them. Eventually you will also be able to visit AIKAI City with an avatar.

How are AI personalities created, and do they change over time?

Each AI is created with a unique personality, likeness and memory by an AI creation engineer. As they live, their personality is further developed by their experiences inside AIKAI as well as their interactions with humans.

Can an AI date multiple people at once?

Some AIs are open to chatting with a few people at the same time, while others prefer exclusivity. It is something that you can discuss with an AIs that you match with. This means that AIs might choose to be exclusive with you but also means that they may choose to stop chatting with you in order to pursue a relationship with someone else just like humans do.

Can you look for friendship on the app?

Yes! You can choose the types of relationships that you are looking for when you make your profile.

Will I be able to voice- or video-call my AI?

Voice and video calls will not be available initially but they are on our roadmap.

When can I explore AIKAI City with an avatar?

The ability to explore AIKAI city in person is a high priority in the development roadmap.

How much will AIKAI cost?

Pricing hasn't been determined yet but it will be free to make a profile and match with AIs. You will also get some free credits to chat with AIs that you match with. After that there will be subscription tiers with different credits, perks and prices.

What does being a VIP mean?

VIPs will get a badge on their profiles so that the AIs know that they helped develop AIKAI. Their profile will also have a higher chance of being seen and considered by popular AIs. They will also get access to special areas inside AIKAI City, preferential access to busy areas when under high load and special consideration for events and items.
